Hello! I‘m Allison Schwent. I grew up in St. Louis, MO, along with my four sisters. While they swam competitively, I loved gymnastics, competing successfully at the collegiate level. With my parents’ hard work ethic, there was pressure to succeed on and off the floor. This intensity was offset by occasionally drinking with friends and teammates.
During high school, I found my Christian faith. This newfound faith helped me to find additional value in myself and what I was doing with my life.
By the age of 30, I had married my high school sweetheart. We had three girls who are now 19, 17, and 15.
Along with the stress and joys of parenting, I also worked for my mother, who founded B&B Aquatics. The increased pressure of married life, parenting, and working for a family business ramped up my wine consumption. This quickly became the punctuation mark for each day.
I became internally conflicted by my frequency and quantity of my wine consumption. I couldn’t figure out how to successfully moderate & there were always seemingly good reasons to drink.
By January 2020, I had ruptured a cervical disc, subsequently having surgery on March 4th, right before the pandemic hit. I was incredibly depressed at where my life was without a happy marriage and the inability to exercise, one of the main ways I decreased my stress level.
I knew I needed a change. But how? I’d tried almost everything and found Annie Grace and This Naked Mind book. This led to new learning and growth around the fundamental truths about alcohol and my relationship with it.
With her Path program, I challenged long-held thoughts and beliefs. From a nightly heavy drinker to a non-drinker by June 21, 2020, I can confidently say this methodology works! I went from being chained to the intense urge to drink to FREEDOM from it. You can too!
I’d be honored to come alongside you to find the same lasting freedom from alcohol. It all happens from the Inside Out!
